People complained… Ended Up Building a Website

It all started with me begging my childhood friend to come to Singapore. She was like, “Umm… No way, Singapore is expensive! A cup of coffee costs more than my allowance!” She laughed so hard and I felt annoyed yet determined to prove her wrong.

I was challenged. That statement did not only come from her but also from other travelers (and even locals) that I met. They’ve always considered Singapore as an expensive country (you can Google it. You’ll see what I mean). So I made it my mission to debunk this theory. Well… In retrospect, there are levels of ‘atas-ness’ (expensiveness) in Singapore that tourists can’t escape like accommodations (unless they opt for hostels) for example. But I believe other than that, food and experiencing the culture and history of Singapore – you can definitely save your pocket(s) from impending doom.

And so, the SG Budget Guide was born. This is a blog directory website that will serve as a one-stop shop for travelers (and locals) who want to experience the best of Singapore without maxing out their credit cards.

If you’re new here, “Welcome!” I hope my obsessive research helps you explore Singapore without crying at your credit card bills.

Also, keep in mind to always check the attraction’s official website for updated information as a one-man show I will do my best to update more amazing things to do in Singapore.
